He painted my canvas
coloring me in passion
running his brush along my frame

Staring in my face
I felt each stroke resonate
Decorating me in hues of
reds, yellows and blues

His fingers dripping
color from my palette
He was thorough
Coating my surface with purpose

He marveled at his masterpiece
So many colors within me
Detailed in his actions
Precision in his signing

I was his prism
A kaleidoscope scene
kissing at my rainbow
in splashes of cream

Screams being sketched
As he traced
the outline of my shimmering lips
My shadow now
being casted off the wall
like hieroglyphics -Valerie Rene’a
